New work.

3 new pieces coming along bit by bit. Sneak peak for one that's unfinished above.
At the moment, stupid financial burdens are making me not so arty minded, but Im starting to backlash against it, and keep on going. No point letting life get you down, eh?
In other news, I'm going to start working on traditional ink wash pieces. The kind you'd see in alot of antique Asian art. All very exciting!

Off the beaten track.

Well, things have been rather crazy lately. Jobs, money issues, and creative lull.
But- never fear! Things are picking up again which is fantastic! The exhibition in May worked out fantastically. Met alot of good people and make some awesome contacts.
I'm working on 4 new pieces at the moment, so I'm happy with that.

Getting ready to get back into action!

Well, I'm aaaalmost finished my largest piece yet (pic above).
I've been rushing round going to job interview and interview all April and then yesterday FINALLY got a phone call back saying I got a job!! Which is fantastic news. Well, for me. I met up with my mate Jo, and we decided to celebrate by going to one of those asian photobooth places!
Almost ready for my exhibition which is next week. Ugh.. stress stress stress!

SO the new VOLERA album artwork is done.
My originals have been played around in conjunction with Michael from Voltera.
The front cover is a woman's torso with the womb exposed. But with all collaborations, the end result is going to be a lil different to what you made, and you can see this (with the dripping etc). Other than that though, the album sounds great, the artwork collab has worked brilliantly, and it's going to be a big month!
In other news, I'm working on my biggest picture yet for an upcoming exhibition.

Preparation...!!!!

So May is going to be a big month.
Got a group exhibition going on AND the release of the Voltera album I've been doing the art for.
On a different note, I've been organising with my comedic partner an up and coming live show. Stay tuned for "The Potato Relolution".
Too much to go into detail, but rest assured photo and video footage will be uploaded.

2009... What a year. What a silly amount of chaos. But, from chaos comes creation and substance. So here's to 2010 being a productive year!

The above picture was done in the last 3 hours of Jan 1st this year as a submission for an online art magazine (http://acetona-acetona.blogspot.com/).
The idea is that the artwork had to be done on Jan 1st. That way all the artists submitting were drawn together on the 1st day of the year in a global creative outburst.
