Inspiration and booze.

So I've really been pushing how much booze my body can take lately. Every night for the last however long, Ive been out drinking. It's not helping my art, but it is helping my stories! Too many random things happening... Oh well. Time to get back into art! I've included a series of photo's that are kicking me back into doing art.

Feb off.

Recently finished a mixed media piece in celebration of 100 years of Woman's day. It actually helped the art juices pumping again!
I'm working on a few designs to start work on wood panels with a few hinting colours (greys, cream, gold etc). Should be good! Done a few sketches so far and I'm really happy. Good things to come!

Running around.

A cartoon version of me according to my mate Morgan. I quite like it!

Did a podcast appearance for my mate Evan where we talk about religion and miracles last week.
It's strange how when the Miners in Chille were rescued everyone thanked God for it. As opposed to thanking the hard work of the resue team, and the technology they used. Meanwhile in the New Zealand mining tragedy where all the miners died, no-one had anything religious to say. People pick and choose I suppose...

In other news, Im working on an inlay for another melbourne band!

And in other, other news, My mate Morgan and I have recorded 2 podcasts for our Potato Revolution project!

New work.

3 new pieces coming along bit by bit. Sneak peak for one that's unfinished above.
At the moment, stupid financial burdens are making me not so arty minded, but Im starting to backlash against it, and keep on going. No point letting life get you down, eh?
In other news, I'm going to start working on traditional ink wash pieces. The kind you'd see in alot of antique Asian art. All very exciting!

Off the beaten track.

Well, things have been rather crazy lately. Jobs, money issues, and creative lull.
But- never fear! Things are picking up again which is fantastic! The exhibition in May worked out fantastically. Met alot of good people and make some awesome contacts.
I'm working on 4 new pieces at the moment, so I'm happy with that.

Getting ready to get back into action!

Well, I'm aaaalmost finished my largest piece yet (pic above).
I've been rushing round going to job interview and interview all April and then yesterday FINALLY got a phone call back saying I got a job!! Which is fantastic news. Well, for me. I met up with my mate Jo, and we decided to celebrate by going to one of those asian photobooth places!
Almost ready for my exhibition which is next week. Ugh.. stress stress stress!

SO the new VOLERA album artwork is done.
My originals have been played around in conjunction with Michael from Voltera.
The front cover is a woman's torso with the womb exposed. But with all collaborations, the end result is going to be a lil different to what you made, and you can see this (with the dripping etc). Other than that though, the album sounds great, the artwork collab has worked brilliantly, and it's going to be a big month!
In other news, I'm working on my biggest picture yet for an upcoming exhibition.
